A Few of My Favorite Things!

Note: I’ve written this post as a paid spokesperson for Bank of America. All opinions are my own.

As the seasons change and fall begins to roll in, I am proactively being better with my finances, and I absolutely want to share this knowledge. Do you remember when you got your first bank account? I most certainly do. I was working really hard to save money from my first job as the Sunday School pianist for my church and as a summer camp counselor. I can remember it just like it was yesterday when my mom took me to Bank of America to set up my first bank account. She, of course, had to cosign on the account because I was a minor. Fun fact: her name is still on that very same Bank of America account today.

Since high school, I have always been self-aware and self-sufficient when it comes to money – earning, spending and saving – and I’ve recently been focused on building my credit and maximizing rewards, too. Because I’ve been a Bank of America customer for almost 20 years, I didn’t have to look far to discover the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Card and I love it. With the card, I can make the purchases I want and also reward myself in the process. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call a win-win situation.

Currently, I am in a space of trying to save more than I spend, but as we all know, that’s easier said than done. So, when I am spending, it feels good to know that I’m making the most of my money.

That’s where my Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Card comes in. It’s the best way for me to reward myself. I earn 3% cash back when I choose the online shopping category – and there are other categories, too, if that’s not your thing. (Plus, as an added perk, you can change the category month-by-month to things like travel or dining if your habits change.)

As an example of the way the card works, I recently purchased a bunch of organic and natural beauty products/tools online after consulting with my makeup artist about how to apply my makeup and incorporate a skincare routine that works to protect and nourish my skin. That’s an investment I’m making in myself that isn’t cheap, so it’s extra gratifying to know I’m making the most of my credit card. Listen, if you are going to spend money, then you might as well reward yourself and earn cash back while doing it. Do yourself a favor to be BETTER in how you spend, reward yourself with your purchases through the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Card.
